Dermavexin Review

dermavexinDermavexin’s unique selling point is that it contains five different peptides, all of which work together to reverse the signs of aging and give your skin a more youthful appearance. The product claims to work by stimulating production of collagen in the skin, which makes the skin more supple and soft. It also encourages cells in the skin to renew themselves more quickly, helping to fill out your wrinkles and making the skin look more plump. The company claim that you should be seeing results within 1 or 2 weeks of using the product, and they are so confident in the ability of their product that there is a full money back guarantee. If you don’t see results within 60 days, you can return the product to them for a full refund.

How does Dermavexin Work?

The five peptides that are in the product are Decapeptide-7, Octapeptide-4, Peption 5, Oligopeptide-29, and Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4. These peptides have been clinically proven to boost collagen in the skin and there is no debate as to whether they work on some people. There are many other more minor ingredients in the product, mostly hydrating compounds to moisturize the skin and ingredients to ensure it goes on the skin smoothly. Dermavexin should be applied to the skin twice a day after cleansing and suitable to be worn under make up. The product is gently fragranced, unlike most similar products which are fragrance free.

Much is made of the “stem cell technology” in the Dermavexin products, with claims that this alone can help fight the signs of ages. The theory of stem cells is good, and it is being used in medicine to help cure genetic problems. There is, however, no scientific proof or clinical trials which prove one way or the other whether the same technology can be used to reverse the signs of aging. The product is also considerably more expensive than similar products on the market (see our best anti wrinkle cream comparison). Given that the manufacturers say you need to use it for 6 months to achieve the best results, this is a considerable investment before seeing whether it works for you or not. As the product has added fragrance, some users find that it irritates skin which is sensitive.

Conclusion

Dermavexin does make some impressive claims, but there is not the evidence to back these up. It may work well for some people, but given the hefty price tag on the product, it would be better to be able to see some concrete scientific proof before buying. It is also difficult to find as it’s only sold in a few selected outlets, and sample sizes are not widely available either.
