Abyssine Cream Review
Abyssine Cream is from the well known cosmetic brand of Kiehl’s, and claims to both protect skin from developing signs of aging and to help repair any damage that has already occurred. The main active ingredient in the product is Abyssine, an antioxidant ingredient which comes from hydrothermal ocean vents alongside Corallina Officinalis, a type of algae found to be rich in sea minerals. The Corallina Extract helps to strengthen the skin and ensure than moisture is kept where it’s most needed. Kiehl’s claim that by using these two products in combination, the cream is excellent at defending skin from wind or sun damage, as well as helping to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles. Also included in the cream is apricot oil which helps moisturize skin and keep it feeling plump and supple, as well as vitamins and gingko.. Varieties of the cream including sun protection products are also on the market.
Using Abyssine Cream
One of the main benefits of using Abyssine Cream is the fact that it comes from Kiehl’s, a long established and well respected name in the world of beauty and health. Buying from a company with a history gives the customer reassurance about the quality of the product. The consistency of the cream is light and fluffy, and it feels very nice when it goes onto the skin. For dry skin it can work wonders with moisturizing, but if you have combination or oily skin you may find that it is just too greasy for you and it can even cause you to break out in pimples. It is an adaptable cream and can be used as a day moisturizer or base coat under your make up, or as a night cream. As it’s unfragranced, it’s suitable for even the most sensitive of skins.
Conclusion
Although the cream does a fantastic job as a moisturizer for dry skin, there isn’t much to prove that it is effective as an anti-aging product therefore it unfortunately doesn’t rank any where near the top for the title of best wrinkle cream. Most manufacturer websites are full of testimonials to back up their claims, or lots of scientific data to show just how all the ingredients are going to reduce your wrinkles. Abyssine has none of this, and it makes the claims rather hard to believe. Also, as mentioned above, it’s not particularly suited to oily skin which limits its appeal only to women with very dry skin types. There also doesn’t seem to be anything in the product which will promote the production of collagen, the main way of filling in wrinkles. Abyssine cream is also quite expensive when compared with other products claiming to do the same thing.
Abyssine Cream is a great choice if you’ve very dry skin and are looking for a good moisturizing product. For anti-aging, there are much better choices on the market.
